Alpha Sigma Lambda’s aim is to recognize the special achievements of adults who accomplish academic excellence while facing competing interests at home and work. It is dedicated to the advancement of scholarship and recognizes high scholastic achievement in an adult student’s career. By so doing, this Society encourages many students to continue toward and to earn associate and baccalaureate degrees.

Membership Benefits
Phi Upsilon Omicron rewards academic excellence by recognizing the top students in FCS and related areas and is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies that encourages national collegiate honor societies to maintain high standards.
We support your career by providing networking opportunities with established professionals, promote mentoring by alumni, and fulfill one of the requirements for entrance at the GS-7 level in numerous professional and technical occupations in the federal service.
Phi U builds competence in management and leadership skills by helping strengthen professional development and resumes and includes opportunities to serve as chapter officers and committee chair positions to participate in regional and national meetings. Scholarships, fellowships, and awards at a national and some local levels are also provided!
