The Child Abuse Prevention Society (CAPS) is a student ran organization for those interested in
child welfare, child abuse prevention, and related topics with the purpose of encouraging, supporting, and providing networking opportunities for TWU students who share an interest in our mission. CAPS aims to spread awareness of child abuse and child abuse prevention. All volunteer work and projects are to help survivors of child abuse.

Counselors for Social Justice at Texas Woman’s University (TWU) aims to raise awareness about social injustices and systemic barriers that impact our clients, peers, and communities. Our objective is to provide a space for students passionate about social justice and fostering community and connection. We believe that social impacts do not occur in isolation but rather a combination of individual and communal action to enact meaningful change. Education is an essential and primary tool that will be used to guide our communal discussions and calls to action. Thus, we intend to provide a space for students that initiates education and cultivates advocacy skills.

The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) stands as a cornerstone of unity, excellence, and cultural heritage within the Greek-letter organization community. Founded in 1930 at Howard University, the NPHC serves as an umbrella organization for nine historically African American sororities and fraternities, collectively known as the "Divine Nine." These organizations include Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, and Iota Phi Theta Fraternity.

NPHC member organizations are founded on principles such as scholarship, service, sisterhood, and brotherhood, which we uphold through various initiatives and programs. NPHC strive to promote academic excellence, leadership development, and community engagement among their members and the broader society.

One of the core missions of the NPHC is to foster collaboration and solidarity among its member organizations. Mission
The Panhellenic Council (PC) at Texas Woman’s University includes women’s fraternal organizations recognized nationally by the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC).

Founded in 1902, NPC is the national governing body for 26 women’s fraternities and sororities. The Panhellenic Council coordinates several events on campus, such as education and professional development programs, various philanthropies, and community service projects.

Panhellenic sororities recruit new members at the beginning of the Fall semester through a process called Primary Recruitment and informally through Continuous Open Bidding. If you are interested in joining a Panhellenic Sorority, please check out their myTWU Pages:

There are numerous opportunities to develop leadership and interpersonal skills through attending seminars and conferences and holding officer and committee positions within the chapter. Collegiate involvement in one’s community sets a pattern of life-long service to others. In addition, sororities also offer a lifetime of networking with women of all ages worldwide.

Pioneers Vote is a nonpartisan student organization which emphasizes educating students on the importance and logistics of voter registration, the electoral process, and civil discourse regarding different viewpoints on issues during election cycles. Pioneers Vote aims to create engaging programming and media to inform students, working with on and off campus organizations to further civic engagement at TWU. The campaign kicked off in 2018 with activities centered around Constitution Day and National Voter Registration Day, and has continued to hold a strong presence on campus. Pioneers Vote works alongside Student Government to run Campus Elections by making up the Elections Commission.

Membership Benefits
Pioneers Vote consists of 4 paid interns, with the Andrew Goodman Ambassadors and Democracy Fellows sponsoring two interns each. Andrew Goodman Ambassadors receive a semesterly stipend of $500. Democracy Fellows receive $500 or $750 depending on if they are a first or second semester Fellow, respectively.

Volunteers of Pioneers Vote will be able to help register students to vote, assist in programming, educating students, and receive service hours.

Participants of Civic Engagement at Texas Woman's University are given many opportunities to travel to conferences, become fellows in other nonpartisan programs, and represent the University at the Texas Legislature.

The purpose of the Presidential’s Leadership Council Student Organization is to provide opportunities for PLC students to gather, learn and become active leaders on campus and community. The PLC will also provide service to the TWU campus and Denton community and serve as one of the Chancellor’s Student Advisory Committees.
