The purposes and goals of ASSET are to raise funds for the J. Wilkes Berry, Ph.D. Memorial Endowment Fund and the ASSET Scholarship to provide support for TWU staff persons employed and enrolled at the University during the corresponding semester(s) that the ASSET scholarship award is made. To encourage the career and personal development of its members through conferences, workshops, programs, and speakers. To provide an organization through which the TWU service and support staff can contribute positively to the academic and professional excellence of the University. To identify and develop service opportunities that will benefit TWU students, staff, faculty, and the community. To provide hardship relief, fellowship, and support to TWU staff.

The Center for First-Generation Students at TWU offers resources specifically designed to meet the needs of first-generation students, enabling them to navigate their academic journey with confidence and achieve their educational goals. What does it mean to be a First-Generation? First-Generation (or first-gen) college students are students whose parents or guardians have not completed a bachelor’s degree. Over 50% of TWU students are first-generation college students.

The Center for First-Generation Students is dedicated to helping First-Gen Pioneers navigate the higher education system. Our goal is to foster a sense of community for all students. We offer a wide range of activities and events that foster community building, as well as various services and programs. We aim to build collaborative relationships that enhance students' learning and engagement opportunities, enrich co-curricular experiences, and promote student success.

Service Initiatives connect all TWU students to community service opportunities. Helping Hands Service Ambassadors support Service with Heart at Texas Woman's University. Service Ambassadors work with non-profit organizations in the metroplex to identify volunteer opportunities for Pioneers, plan & lead service activities, and connect their peers with volunteer opportunities that match their skills, goals, and career plans.

We coordinate regular community service opportunities each month for any student to participate.
All you need to do is sign up, commit to attend, serve, and make an impact!

Our campus-wide service initiatives are Make a Difference Day (fall) and The BIG Event (spring).

Sorority and Fraternity Life at Texas Woman's University plays an important role on campus and throughout the Denton community. Scholarship, service, and sisterhood/brotherhood are the common principles founded by each of our Greek letter organizations. By focusing on these principles, one can expect both a positive collegiate and Greek experience.

Being part of a Sorority or Fraternity will provide ample opportunities for you to participate in activities that will enhance your personal development, promote academics, serve the local community, and advance your leadership skills. Joining a sorority or fraternity is a mutual selection process between students and sorority/fraternity organizations. It is a lifetime commitment to the values of leadership, scholarship, friendship, and service. This means that as you are exploring which organization is the best fit for you, organizations are examining what students are a good fit for their chapter. As you explore our community, keep an open mind and consider more than one option to ensure you find the best option. At Texas Woman's University we have 3 Councils that organize our sororities and fraternities on campus.
