Mission Pioneers Vote is a nonpartisan student organization which emphasizes educating students on the importance and logistics of voter registration, the electoral process, and civil discourse regarding different viewpoints on issues during election cycles. Pioneers Vote aims to create engaging programming and media to inform students, working with on and off campus organizations to further civic engagement at TWU. The campaign kicked off in 2018 with activities centered around Constitution Day and National Voter Registration Day, and has continued to hold a strong presence on campus. Pioneers Vote works alongside Student Government to run Campus Elections by making up the Elections Commission.
Membership BenefitsPioneers Vote consists of 4 paid interns, with the Andrew Goodman Ambassadors and Democracy Fellows sponsoring two interns each. Andrew Goodman Ambassadors receive a semesterly stipend of $500. Democracy Fellows receive $500 or $750 depending on if they are a first or second semester Fellow, respectively. Volunteers of Pioneers Vote will be able to help register students to vote, assist in programming, educating students, and receive service hours.Participants of Civic Engagement at Texas Woman's University are given many opportunities to travel to conferences, become fellows in other nonpartisan programs, and represent the University at the Texas Legislature.
